What do i need to know about micro-chipping? Why should my pet get micro-chipped?

Pets who are micro-chipped have a better chance of being recovered after being lost. Protection and health are the basic reasons for micro-chipping your pet. Micro-chips also have the ability to have emergency medical information linked to their chip. This allows for taking care of medical issues while the pet is waiting to be reunited with their family. The micro-chip is a safe product and is as simple as an injection. It will show up on your pet’s immunization record.

Why does my pet need dental care?

Your pet’s teeth are exactly like your own teeth. They need daily care just like your teeth do or they will develop disease. An annual dental cleaning is required. If not brushed routinely, teeth can develop tartar and plaque. Adult dogs have 42 teeth and an adult cat has 30 teeth. If their teeth are uncared for, more severe dental diseases can occur. It can also lead to inflammation of the gums which can cause pain and discomfort while chewing. Increasing tartar and plaque can travel through the blood stream to other organs which can cause infection. To prevent infections and treatment dental diets and daily at-home brushing is very important. Annual professional dental cleaning are a must.
